This is how the morning began…I should have suspected trouble.
And then this…
I walked in our bathroom to find him with my toothbrush and her with Donnie’s…
And then came the time for the products…
Nothing was affected too seriously except for lotion all over the toilet seat. And now I’m sure you are asking yourself, “where was their mommy”, well she was hiding around all of the corners enjoying the show! 🙂
Tonight was DJ’s first foray into one of Mel’s family favorites, spaghetti! So, while we hail from the land of orange bath tubs you can enjoy some before and after pictures.
If you grow up in Alabama barbecue ribs are something you quite literally cut your teeth on. Witness, Bree (with a mouth full of teeth) and DJ (only four teeth so far) destroying some ribs.
We Garvichs take our rib eating seriously, and if you want to get into rib eating shape you’ve gotta start training early!
Bree was pretty excited about getting to see Santa this year, constantly telling us that she wanted to sit in his lap. Â She was excited, in fact, right up until about 10 seconds before she was supposed to actually have her picture made. Â The situation ended up with me hanging with Santa and the kids hanging with me… but the picture still turned out pretty good!
This Thanksgiving marks the first time ever that Mel and I haven’t spent the holiday with our families. Â As it turns out, both kids are sick and there was just no way they were A) going to be able to hold up to the festivities and; B) avoid being like little carrier monkeys and passing along their sickness to other people. Â So we opted to stay at home. Â We’re making the best of it, enjoying being together and wearing pajamas in our cozy little home. Â We have SO much to be thankful for.
While there won’t be a big update with a bunch of family pictures, there IS a brand spanking new video of DJ crawling for the first time ever, which happened last night. Â Enjoy, and happy Thanksgiving!
Today we took a lunch vacation to Railroad Park in downtown Birmingham. If you haven’t been out to see this new park yet you’re really missing out. The park is top notch and right now the weather is perfect. What are you waiting for?
